  1. That’s so wonderful. Brought tears to my eyes! Isn’t it amazing how God picked Nathan and you to be the first (and maybe only) ones to nurture and love him? Praying for you! And congratulations!

    1. Your kindness makes me blush, but we are the OPPOSITE of amazing! For example, I let Anna have Doritos for breakfast the other morning. Hey…it’s calories, right?

  2. Love this! I Have good friends who do foster care. They lost a baby after going through years of fertility treatments. God brought them a beautiful baby girl through the foster care system that was born 3 days before her due date. A week before, she had found out she was pregnant again. She now has 2 bouncing babies that are only 7 months apart. God is good all the time! I think those who foster are so special. God can use you guys in amazing ways!

  3. Beth, I read two of your posts today and they are amazing. My husband and i went through fertility treatments for a while and decided that maybe God wants us to start our family through adoption. So we decided to do foster to adopt. We just had our home study done Monday. We’ve been told we could possibly have our first placement by Christmas!!! It gives me so much peace to know that I am not the only one who has these feelings. Thank you so much.

  4. Wow Beth, what a terrific story. I remember saying yes to fostering (our great nephew – age 8 – and his infant sister who was 4 months old when she came to us) WITHOUT even blinking or making sure it was okay with my husband… not to mention how we would manage in a house of 4 children… not thinking about anything except giving this darling baby girl a home! Her brother had spent numerous hours with us throughout his lifetime — as a visitor. Unbeknownst to us, their mother (our niece) had “issues” that ended with Children’s Services becoming involved. Our story gets ridiculously involved and complicated but I do remember the first yes… and the anticipation of waiting for our social worker to arrive!
And that is how I started to read and follow Just Beth!

I love hearing your thoughts!
