In this passage, Paul begins his letter with praise, declaring that God has blessed believers in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. At the heart of this passage lies the purpose of it all: “to the praise of his glorious grace.” Our adoption, like our election, is designed to magnify the grace of God revealed in Jesus Christ, the Beloved Son who gave His life so that we might become children of God and heirs with Him.
